ZINE ZN5 cameraphone
Today Motorola announced the availability of its ZINE ZN5 cameraphone on T-Mobile USA's network. The ZN5 was co-developed with Kodak to ensure that it has great imaging characteristics. The camera on the ZN5 features a fast autofocusing lens and a very usable xenon flash that help feed the scenery to a 5 megapixel imaging sensor. Kodak's imaging software ensures that the photos come out looking good, and the phone's built-in WiFi support provides a direct, and fast, link to the online Kodak Gallery site as well as T-Mobile's own MyAlbum site. But not only does the ZN5 take high quality photos like a real dedicated camera, but it also feels like one. From the quick-acting active lens cover, which starts the camera, to the dedicated keypad keys for viewing, deleting, and sending photos, the ZN5 puts all of the needed controls right at your fingertips. There are no menus that must be waded through to get to the flash setting, for example: all it takes is a couple of nudges on the phone's d-pad controller. As an added bonus, T-Mobile will give new ZN5 buyers 50 free prints from the Kodak Gallery.
J.D. Power and Associates ranks Apple highest in smartphone satisfaction
J.D. Power and Associates released its 2008 Business Wireless Smartphone Customer Satisfaction Study today, after interviewing 1,388 business wireless customers with a smartphone during August and September 2008. The study ranks customer satisfaction, and also peeks into usage patterns.
The study asks respondents to rank their current smartphone across 5 factors, in order of importance: ease of operation, operating system, physical design, handset features, and battery aspects. Overall, Apple ranked the highest, with 778 out of 1,000 points, performing exceptionally well in ease of operation, physical design, and handset features.
Other interesting tidbits in the report show that a staggering 69% of business smartphone users own a hands-free headset, and 74% of those headsets are wireless. Sadly, only 34% of business smartphone owners say they download third-party applications. You can peruse the entire report at J.D. Power and Associates' website.

Sony Ericsson's PlayNow Plus music goes live in Sweden
Swedish carrier Telenor is the first to launch Sony Ericsson's new PlayNow Plus music service, paired with the Sony Ericsson W902 Walkman cell phone. The PlayNow Plus music service was announced in September, and is expected to be announced with other carriers soon.
PlayNow Plus is accessed through a special application on the cell phone, and also has an accompanying PC client. Users get unlimited downloads for a specified time period (usually in line with their carrier contract), after which they are able to keep up to 300 tracks. The service is a direct competitor to Nokia's Comes With Music initiative, which also allows users to get unlimited music downloads for a specified time period.

FOUR THINGS YOU PROBABLY NEVER KNEW YOUR MOBILE PHONE COULD DO
Very, very useful info.4 THINGS YOU PROBABLY NEVER KNEW YOUR MOBILE PHONE COULD DO
There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:
FIRST Emergency
The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile; network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.
SECOND Have you locked your keys in the car?
Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone.
Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other 'remote' for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).
Editor's Note: It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a mobile phone!'
THIRD Hidden Battery Power
Imagine your mobile battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your mobile will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your mobile next time.
FOURTH How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?
To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 #
A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. When your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.

Dreams
To accomplish great things, you must dream great dreams. But dreaming alone isn’t enough, you must believe in your dreams and you must act. Without action, even the most grand of dreams evaporate into the ether when left unnurtured in the misty realms of the mind. Do you dare to be a dreamer? Prepare to go it alone. Dreamers build bridges between the known and the unknown. As you dance your dreams into reality, those who can’t hear the music may think you a fool. Pay no heed to those who would kill your dreams, small minds always do that. Great minds will encourage you that you can become great too. Afraid you haven’t got what it takes? Then get it! Feed your mind the mental food it hungers for. There was a dog breeder who had two dogs that raced every weekend. He took bets and always won. One week he’d bet on his black dog, and the black dog would win. The next week he’d bet on the white dog, and folks seeing the black dog win the week before would bet, but this time the white dog would win. Why? One week he’d feed the dog he wanted to win a grand diet, and just give the other dog enough to survive. The dog that was well fed was stronger and would always win the race. Your mind is the same way; it grows stronger or weaker with what you feed it. The diet of the mind is what gives you the confidence, courage, knowledge, and the direction you need to succeed in your dreams, or keep you from them. You can build your mind up or tear it down. The choice is yours and you make it every day. Have you been waiting for the right time to reach for your dreams? Have you been waiting for the right circumstances to reach for your dreams? Have you been waiting for the right opportunity to reach for dreams? My, you’re patient, aren’t you? You could be waiting forever, you know. Time is an illusion. Circumstances are what you make them. Opportunity is a whisper that waits for your invitation, it doesn’t burst in and shout its arrival. Now is the right time. Circumstances change when you take action. Opportunity is yours for the making. So what are you really waiting for? Here’s how you’ll know if you’ve become all you can be: If you’re alive, you haven’t.
